Self-Guided Safaris/Self-Drive Tour – Explore Rwanda
4×4 Rwanda Ltd is also offering self-guided safaris across the East African region. We have drafted several safari packages for those who don’t have any idea where to start to explore Rwanda and some of the neighboring countries.
Most people may not understand the meaning of self-drive safari/self-guided safari. There are different ways how tourists choose to explore a certain destination and the common one is the guided safari where tourists contact a tour company and draft for him/her an itinerary that he/she has to follow when is on a safari. The itinerary always consists of the destinations the tourist what to explore, the accommodation where the tourist will spend the nights when he/she is on a trip, the time and date he/she will be at a certain destination, and others and all those are paid in advance. On a guided safari the tourist will only wait for the time of the safari to reach and then be picked up from the airport or their residence by a tour guide and then the safari starts when the tourist has only what job just to seat back in the safari vehicle and enjoy the safari.
While self-guided safaris, it’s a tourist’s responsibility to organize everything for him/herself. Self Guided safaris are less loved by tourists but those who love freedom and privacy find it more interesting and fun and when it comes to youth who love driving offroad they find self-guided safaris in Africa the best choice for them.
How to Organize a Self-Guided Safari
Organizing a self-drive safari always start with choosing a destination where you going to visit and then do some research about the destination and then contacting the safari car rental company and asking about the availability of cars. After reserving the vehicle, you will get more information about the destination from the car rental agency and they will advise about the vehicle you will need to use depending on the destination you want to explore, and other tourist destinations you may not know but interesting and still they can draft for you a sample itinerary you can chance anyhow.
